New prayer request on Mark Massey. Mark is Shawn Massey’s brother and he was in doing a job. He started limping quite a bit and went to the doctor there and they told him to get off of his feet which is what he is trying to do. Please keep him in your prayers as he is a diabetic and is having major wounds on the bottom of his feet. He was suppose to go to the wound clinic and see if they could help him in some way. thank you for your prayers
UPDATE!! Laura’s Grandmother had a stint put in yesterday and Laura said she is doing good. However, they have more that they need to do. Please continue to pray for Laura and her family. I know it is good to know that your church family is praying for you and lifting you up.
Also. please keep Jan in your prayers. She has an unspoken request that she needs prayer for. We also, need to keep Susan Maxwell in your prayers. She has a number of decisions she needs to make and that can be difficult especially when you are seeking God’s direction and you want to make sure it is His direction and not our own.

Here is an update from Darlene Edwards:
Thank you, the prayers are helping us cope. We do hope to pass the test. She called from the bus late last night. She is coming alone, apparently little Andy is ill and she left him behind. Right now she says .., her plan is to stay at a motel here for a few days, visit the children when they are not in school and then go home alone. We will have to wait and see how that goes. She doesn’t want to see me and Gene is working and Eugene’s remembering how much money she has already cost us, so her transportation and so on may be a problem for her.
An update on this as a followup on Darlene’s Son’s ex-wife and the kids are the ones she brought to church with her before they moved back to Arizona. Thanks for keeping them in your prayers. God Bless each of you.
I just got this email from Darlene Edwards and wanted to pass it on for prayer:
Okay, It is the scheduled time for their Mother to come and get them. No argument there. She has only accidently followed the custody agreement in the past and gone out of her way to Not follow it. She and the court were sent the paperwork from the school requesting that they attend summer school or face being held back. She did not disagree. They are in summer school but if they miss more than 2 days it will not count. Summer school is over June 27th. She previously agreed, verbally, to wait until July 1st. She called tonight and said that she is going to arrive and take them back to Texas Wednesday night or Thursday morning. She said that she doesn’t care about the school. She read the custody agreement last night and it says that she can get them the 15th. Yesterday. (It did say after 6:00pm because it was Father’s day). So please keep them (and their Dad and grandparents) in your prayers. Thanks, Darlene

Prayer Request - I got a call from my brother Mark that is working in Lamar Colorado. I think they are building a power plant or adding to one. Anyway, a man they hired today by the name of Nelson Gonzales who is in his mid 30’s was hit with an electrical explosion to his arms hands and face of 4160 volts. He is in the hospital in Aurora Colorado at University of Colorado. Mark told me earlier that he had 2nd and 3rd degree burns when he left Lamar by ambulance and was taken to the Aurora hospital burn unit. He called me a few minutes ago and said that now the burns are 1st and 2nd degree burns and he will probably be out of the hospital in a couple of days wit medicine and will have to go back in a week for follow up. Mark was requesting prayer in a lot of places and he said he can tell that God is already at work. I think it is great how God is already showing He can do great things. Please keep Nelson in your prayers for a full recovery and that he knows that God is responsible for starting the healing process so quickly. Thanks to all for your prayers.
Pray request - Laura White’s Grandmother was having chest pains earlier today so they took her to emergency. If she has to have surgery it will be the third such surgery for her. Please remember her in prayer as well as the family, I will update you as I know more. Thanks for your faithfulness in praying for those in our church, the community and family members. You are a special group of Christ believers!!!
Hurray - George Greenway came through his surgery without problems. The Lord is so good.
Also, remember to pray for the Skaggs family the funeral is this afternoon at 2:00 and then they will have a graveside service.

Prayer Request for Joe Skaggs and family. Mindy called this morning and told us that Joe’s borther Charles was killed in an accident on Saturday afternoon. The funeral will be tomorrow at 2 o’clock. We need to pray for Larry Johnson. He is at the hospital in Sulphur Springs and thinks he is having an appendecitis (spelling?) attack. He may need to have surgery. My best friend since I was 6 years old. Her son has been placed in a Teen rehabilitation center/Boot camp in Samoa. His name is Ryan Barnett, he was a rising star, born with brains and althetic ability. He received a full baseball scholorship to a great University in New York, and got injured the summer before he was to join the team. He had a major surgery and it was successful, except he will never play baseball on that level again, he was a pitcher. His dream of being a Major League Pitcher shattered, he started down a destructive path of drugs an alcohol.
His parents have taken drastic measures to get this boy back on the right track, he has just turned 19. Fearful that their son would soon end up dead or in prison they made arrangements for him to attend a program in Samoa.
Please pray for Ryan Barnett and the entire family.

I just got this email from Rhonda - She is Tresia’s best friend and knows everyone here, she has come here several times.
Martha, Dan’s sister, Carol, sent me an email that Cory, a 16 year old, com mitted suicide Wednesday. He was the son of Shawn’s (her husband), best friend since high school, Barry. No one knows what happened. He was popular, played football and track and was a cheerleader. Barry, his wife, Kathy, and their oldest son, Chris are devastated, as are a lot of other people. (I can’t remember their last name, but God knows). Please put this family as well as Dan’s sister’s family, the Reeders, on your prayer list. It is just so sad.

I just got the following prayer request from Aldona, Jan is the grandmother for Melissa Doddridge.
Jan is fighting a very hard battle with cancer. She is having a tough time right now and was placed in the ICU, today. The chances of her getting better, here on earth, are slim, but you never know what God might do! Jan is very tired. She has battled this for almost four months up in Columbus, OH. Michael is there right now, and I’m not quite sure when he’ll be home. Please include Jan in your prayers. God has let her sleep a lot lately, thus remaining peaceful. We want His will in this and all things.

We just found out today that Mandi’s Grandpa Speaker in New Mexico was put in the hospital due to some heart problems. He says it was a “small” heart attack. They are supposed to find out tomorrow more details that will determine if he can go home or if he has to make the trip to Albequerque for surgery. Hopefully, he will not have to have surgery because the last time he had to have surgery, the doctor said his heart would not hold up for another surgery. We appreciate all of your prayers!
Please pray for Claude Thompson, he was put in the hospital today because he has Bronchial pneumonia. It seems like a number of people are having a problem with pneumonia or other illnesses.
Also, please pray for Laura White, she had a fender bender this morning and she is doing fine, just her car has a few dings. God does take care of us and she is really grateful.
I have a praise for you as well. The toe I have had so many problems with is finally healing. I believe that within a week or two I should be able to stop going to the hospital daily for bandage changes. God is so good and as He has been telling me lately. He is in Control!

Update on Ed’s grandmother Elsie Camp. She passed away yesterday and visitation will be tomorrow night Thursday, May 1 at Murray Orwosky from 6 to 8 and the funeral will be Friday @ 10:00am at Dunbar Cemetary in Emory the address is 449 Rural Route 3060. I have a prayer and answer to prayer for all of you. Donna Hamiter’s daughter in law was having what she thought was a heart attach earlier today. That is the prayer request the praise is that she was by a clinic when this happened and they ran some tests on her and they think she was having an anixity attach. Please keep them your prayers for an unspoken reason.

This prayer was written by my cousin, Tiffany. Her sister, Britany, is the mother of Kylee. Britany has just given birth w/in the last few weeks to a new baby girl. Just wanted to explain this a little more to those of you who may not know. Thank you for your prayer support.

“I am emailing to ask everyone to put Brit and Kylee on your prayer list. She is fighting a custody battle over her. I’m going to explain the situation a little more, but if you already know it, feel free to close this email now….
Kylee father has a record and history of beating women/girls. He has a criminal record in Arkansas, Texas, Louisianna and Florida. Her served 2 years in prison in Texas for I believe burglary. He has 3+ rape or attempted rape charges on his record but has never been convicted. Brit left him because she was scared of him. He punched her in the face in front of people. He has a domestic battery and 2 counts of endangering a minor because he beat Brit while the kids were there (a year + ago) and the cops were called. They had to call the cops in order for her to get her stuff out of his house. This is reason number one why, if he has any visitation privilege, it should be supervised.
Reason #2, Kylee has a seizure disorder which causes her to become very violent and screams non-stop for half an hour when she comes out of the seizure. She’s had about 5 seizures that Brit is aware of. 1 was scary and she quit breathing and they had to bring her back while she was in the ambulance. 1 was not quite that bad but it did last a while and Kari was holding her while she had it while Brit and I were in another room. The others have been more mild. When she comes out she not only screams but hits, kicks, throws things and bites. She bit Brit and hurt her shoulder pretty bad. We are worried that if she were to do this with him, he may hurt her back not realizing what’s going on. Brit is talking to an attorney, and he has one also. They will probably be battling this out in court soon so they need a lot of prayers and support.

I need to ask for prayers for my Lt. Rob Vine and his family. They are in Dallas today were his 6 year old son, Gunner, will undergo surgery for a tumor in his stomach that is believed to be cancerous. Gunner has been having trouble with his stomach for a time. The normal doctor said it was stress. He couldn’t keep food on his stomach and it hurt him greatly. They went to another doctor and yestday they did a sonagram and it showed the tumor. Please pray the Lord will send a healing to Gunner and comfort to his Rob, Kathryn, Tyler, and Alexis.
Thank you, you are such stong prayer warriors, Gunner is lucky to have you in his corner.
I had the wrong surgery for Nancy Oliver,,she had neck surgery, but all did go well. She might even be going home today.
Also Tempie Lacek, had hip surgery,,and all went very good.
Please pray for Tempe Lasick, she fell and broke her hip last night and they are getting ready to do surgery on her. We will update you when we know more. Thanks for your prayers they mean a lot to your church family.

Update on Danny Thompson. He is doing better. They found that he has a tiny hole (smaller than a pinhead) that most people have when they are born. I got this email tonight, Please pray for Angel Food Ministry
Dear Ministry Partners, At approximately 3:45pm EDT, a building immediately adjacent to the Angel Food home office caught fire, completely destroying our storage facility and its contents, and causing damage to our utility lines and minor smoke damage to our offices. Praise the Lord no one was hurt, and the brave men of the Walton County and Monroe Fire Departments were able to extinguish the blaze without allowing any damage to our primary office building (less then 10-20 feet away). We now have restored Internet and electricity to our office building, but will not have telephone access until sometime tomorrow afternoon. Please have patience with us as we work diligently to catch up on emails and lost productivity time. Our warehouse has fallen behind slightly due to the outage, however we do not anticipate any significant delays in transportation.
Danny Thompson, Claude & Vonnie’s Son, is still in the hospital. They have found out he has a hole in his heart which can be repaired with a stint. They think this is the reason for the mini stroke. Please keep him and the family in your prayers.
Dian’s sister, Gloria Ebarb is having back surgery on Friday 3/14. The surgery is for a ruptured disc and she is so much pain right now that she cannot even do any normal day to day things. Please remember her and the family in your prayers.
WE got the following praise from Karon:
Great news! The doctors determined that the infection is not in Danny’s heart valve so they are letting him go home tomorrow. He had two teeth pulled today as they believe that is where the infection began. He has to do 6 weeks of IV antibiotics but NO SURGERY! God answers prayer - His miracles are every where, we just have to open our eyes.

Hi to all - I got the following e-mail from Karon Weatherman:
Please add My Ex Brother In Law, Danny Parker to the prayer list. He has been in the hospital since last Wednesday and was transferred to big Baylor on Sunday. As of yesterday, he said he has endocarditis (an infection that has settled around his heart). They are running tests to determine if the infection has settled in the valve of his heart. My limited understanding is that if the infection has settled in the valve they will do surgery to replace the valve. If the infection is not in the valve, he will have to be on IV antibiotics for 6 weeks. Please also pray for strength for his kids and his family. Also, pray that God will speak to his heart (He is not a Christian).
Also, I ask that you continue to pray for the Kizer family as well as the Craig family. I know it is hard loosing someone even when you know where they are and that they are no longer in pain. I does not stop us from missing them.

We have updates on the prayer request sent on Sunday. Raedell passed away on Sunday morning and the funeral services will be at the church at 1:00 on Wednesday. Please remember the family. Charlotte especially needs our prayers as she has also been sick the last week as well as taking care of her mom as much as possible.
Also, keep James Kizer on your prayer list he is in at a rehab center and hospice has been called in.
I would also like to add Rhonda (don’t know her last name) she just had a hystromecty and she lives here.
The other request that I have is for Larry and Jan Gray. Jan received a letter from the doctor saying that Larry is considered legally blind. Pray that they can find the help they need and that Larry can get on disability quickly. Jan wants Gods will in all things, and I think we need to lift them up in prayer.

WE have some urgent prayers requests.
James Kizer is in the hospital and is being moved to a rehab and hospice has been called in. Also, keep Pam and the girls in prayer during this stressful time.
Also, Raedell Minty is not doing very well and we need to keep Charlotte in our prayers as she is physically exhausted from all she is doing.
We know that God walks with us through whatever we have to go through for those that are called according to His purpose. But we also know that we all derive strength from the prayers of those that know and walk with the Lord.
My cousin’s son…………Collin, 12, was hit by a baseball in practice Friday afternoon. The ball hit his forehead above his eye. He has a fracture with an large indention there. PTL there is no brain injury or eye injury involved but his sinus cavity is affected & in someway his spinal fluids. He is home from Texas Children’s Hospital. The healing process will take 3 months and will then be facing a serious surgery to repair the damage. The incision will be from ear to ear. Beverly asked that we pray for God’s healing without the surgery. Our God is able to do exceedingly above and beyond what we ask for!!!!
I think she said he will go back to the Dr on Friday.

We have some additional prayer requests. Christi Camp told us on Sunday that Scott is being moved, please pray that whoever gets Scott, will Love him and have compassion for him, he has been through a lot for a little boy.

Joyce Coker, came in and ordered Angel Food and request prayer for her husband who is terminal. He has COPD along with other problems and she is asking us to pray for him and her.

Update on Larry Gray - The surgery went well, however, he has lost most of his sight in his right eye and the left eye has some problems as well. They think that plaque broke off either when they did the cathater or the surgery clogging the nerve in his eye and causing it to die. Also, they think that he had a mini stroke in the eye. Jan got him home from the hospital on Tuesday evening. So Jan thanks you for the prayers and asks that you continue to pray for Larry and Jan. Hopefully, the problems with his eyes will clear up and he will be able to see again. God Bless
Urgent Prayer Request: George Garvin Jr. admitted to the hospital in Illnois over the weekend. He is now gravely ill with a rapidly progressing infection that caused Meningitis. Mr Garvin has served the Nazarene Church for the past 50 years in the mission program. They want prayer for a physical touch but above all want God’s will and that Christ will be honored and that the family will draw closer during this crisis. Please keep them in your prayers. Thank you.
Larry Gray (Jan’s husband) is having quadrupple bypass on Wednesday at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview. They have to be there by 5:30 am. Please life Larry and Jan up in your prayers. Jan is concerned but she also knows that God is in control. Pray for the doctors as well as Larry and Jan.
Deanna passed away on Friday and her funeral was today. Please keep her family in your prayers as they deal with her death. She was only 16 years old and they found she had a problem with her heart that they did not know about until a few weeks ago. They had no insurance and have a lot of debts from her stay in the hospital, hospice and the funeral. Also, please keep her family and friends in your prayers during this time of year.
Update on Deanna - She is off life support and they took out the trake - Earlier today they removed the tube from her throat and she is still breathing, in fact they said her breathing seemed to be getting stronger. This is a miracle in itself as the part of the brain that regulates the body fuctions is the part of the brain where they did not see activity in earlier tests. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. They are praying for a miracle, most of all we want God’s will. If she continues to improve we know it is only due to God’s will as it is in His hands.
Shane Buchanon is in the hospital, Mother Francsis in Tyler, with a serious intestinal problem. He is on a feeding tube because he is not allowed to have any solid food with his problem. Pray that the doctors will be able to find what they need to do to fix his problem. This is the son of a friend of Dian Turner’s.
Update - - They are not giving Deanna much hope at this point. Please pray for the family as they had to make a decision to take off life support.
Please keep Aston Teafatiller and her mother Holly in your prayers. Aston was diagnosed with epilespy on Nov 2nd. On Dec 9&10 she will be going to Childrens Neurology for more testing.
Update - - - Deanna the daughter of a friend of Christi’s had an EEG and has minimal brain activity. They are doing a MRI now. Please pray that God is with Deanna, we don’t know where her heart is, please pray that God gives her a chance to make things right with Him. The doctors don’t seem to be giving her much of a chance. Also, please pray for Christi, she is feeling the pain for the family and needs to be strong for them.
The church has a new baby. Amanda will get out of the hospital on Thursday. Hannah Elizabeth weighed 5-3/4 pounds and was born at 8:07 am on 12/4/07. Baby and mother are doing great. We can all thank the Lord for that.
Amanda will be having her C section around 7:30 am on Tuesday. She has to be at the hospital around 5:30. Please keep her in your prayers that the delivery goes well and Amanda and baby are bot doing well. Thanks from Amanda
Pray for Gloria Ebarb - she has a doctor appoitment today. Something is wrong in her back - like a squishy knot next to her spine. Her doctor wanted to see her today although she had a appoitment set for the 11th. This is Dian’s sister and we need to pray that she feels God’s presence when she goes to the doctor. Thank you
Urgent Prayer request from Christi Camp. A friend of her’s has a 16 year old that is in Childrens Hospital in Dallas. She is on a resperator and is in a very serious condition. Please hold her and her parents up in prayer. We will update this as we know more.

This is an urgent prayer request for Sue Stewart and family. Pete Winkfin has been put on hospice due to cancer. We need to Prat for the family and especially for Sue who is caring for her partents that God continues to keep her strong. Pete is in a lot of pain and we need to remember to pray for him and Erlene. This is a really tough time for the entire family.
Please keep Lou Jane in your prayers - Her mom fell and broke her hip. Also pray for Tracey Rodriguez and family for Father in Law.

Please pray for Linda she is having her surgery on Monday at 8:30 in Cooksville, TN. Ther are replacing her hip joint with metal. See previous prayer request for name of what she has. She is already thanking God for what He is doing for her. Please pray for the doctors that they allow God to work through them. Thank you
Please life Sue Stewart’s mom and dad in your prayers. Her Dad is having a test done on Monday October 29th, and he is weak now, Sue is concerned about him being strong enough for the test on Monday. Please continue to hold Sue and her entire family up as they go through this time for strength and wisdom. We know that God has them in His Hands. Thank you
On prayer request about Linda with Avascur Neurosis she is having surgery on November 5. She is expecting 6 to 12 weeks for recupertion from the surgery. Please continue to life her up so that God is Glorified during her recovery time. Thank you
Please pray for Martha Irby. She is in Parkland Hospital preparing for surgery. They are going to remove 2 toes, one on each foot. She has asked that we all keep her in prayer as she goes through this time.
Prayer request - Linda (Suzanne’s mom) received news from her doctor that she has Avascular Necrosis and he told her she needed to make an appoitment right away with a certain doctor to have this taken care of right away. I am requesting prayer for her that
she can get the right type of help. This sounds very serious so your prayers are appreciated.
Avascular necrosis is a disease resulting from the temporary or permanent loss of the blood supply to the bones. Without blood, the bone tissue dies and causes the bone to collapse. If the process involves the bones near a joint, it often leads to collapse of the joint surface. Linda’s problem is in her hip so it is in the joint.

Please start praying for my dad, Pete Winkfein. The doctor found what they think is a large tumor in his upper thigh. We won’t know the extent of it or if it is cancer until they do the bone/muscle biopsy next week. Also pray for mom, she is pretty worried and is still under treatment for breast cancer.
Please pray for Enoch. He has a bacterial infection in his lungs and the doctor has put him to bed for a couple of days.
Please pray for a friend, Marge Cooper, she went on vacation in Colorado and became infected with West Nile. She will have to stay in Colorado for 6 weeks until she is fully recovered.
Please pray for Suzanne and Kory as they travel to Texas on Wednesday night to arrive Thursday morning. Also, pray for Linda, Suzanne’s adoptive mother, she has lost a friend to cancer and has an aunt having surgery (5) bypasses this week. God is so awesome!

A friend of mine at work has a prayer request for a lady named Kay Calvert who has breast cancer. She will be having an operation on 8/16 in Mequite. Please keep her and her family in prayer through this time.
