Teen Girl Conference
Oct 2nd, 2007 by BradT
Hi! My name is
Ashley Hicks has a vision to reach into the heart of thousands of teenage girls and a mission to change statistics through the heart-felt message of PINC. Since 1997, she has been working with teenage girls in various ways such as cheerleading, teaching in public schools, and now counseling. In the summer of 2003, Ashley felt God calling her to focus on a ministry that was specifically for girls and by September, PINC (pronounced pink) was created! ( http://www.pincministries.com/index.php ) Since then, Ashley and her team have been speaking to thousands of girls about purity and self-esteem at PINC Events and Ashley speaks at various girls and women’s retreats, as well as public and private schools. Ashley believes her experiences with girls in this arena has been invaluable in understanding the pressures that girls face today and what tools they need to be successful, productive young women.
Ashley is passionate about encouraging teenage girls to see their true value and worth in Christ through inspirational and educational teaching and music, with hopes of positively impacting the lives of girls across the country. She is currently writing a book entitled “Think PINC”, working on an original and informative radio show about teen girls, and is also in the beginning phases of recording an album based on her own original music marketed for her teen girl audience. This year, Ashley plans to release PINC curriculum via the PINC website that will allow schools and churches to have PINC groups and Bible studies so that more girls will understand that only through Jesus Christ is our identity complete.Ashley is the girl’s guidance counselor at
I’ve personally heard Ashley speak on purity / waiting until marriage and modesty. I’m so excited for her to share with our girls!
